Our Story

Rewind to 2015, Pleat Boutique was launched from a converted home attic of Leeds based Sarah Rawling. Having been studying pattern drafting and dress making alongside a full time job. Sarah noticed an opportunity to bring timeless designs that instead of being lead by the latest trend were, classic, well made, styles that would last year after year and still look as good as the day they were new.

Pleat Boutique studio

Sarah had little money to invest therefore utilised her own Graphic Design background and her supportive family and friendship group.

Pleat Boutique had the opportunity to be mentored by SilkFred.com as part of their Brands in Focus programme. As sales increased Pleat Boutique moved into a converted mill premises and Sarah went at it full time.

Fast forward to today, Pleat Boutique continue to design clothing that outlasts seasonal trends with a real focus on quality. Best known for sophisticated occasion wear, and more recently a sleek bodysuit collection. The collections consist of timeless, well made, double layered pieces. Each collection is passionately designed in house.
